Welcome to the Need 4 Speed Racing Team's Website
Located in Truth or Consequences New Mexico, our team races a four cylinder class of stock cars called the Hornets and an entry level class of Go-karts. Most of our races are in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the Southern New Mexico Speedway. The Hornets race on a 5/16 mile dirt oval track with moderate banking while the Go-karts use the 1/8 mile dirt oval in the center of the speedway.We also started racing in Tularosa, NM at the White Sands Speedway and in El Paso, Tx at the El Paso Speedway Park this year.
Our primary objective is getting kids and adults involved in a racing community. We teach and assist kids and adults in the building and maintenance of Go-kart's and Hornets. One of our most important issues is Safety, not only on the track but in every day life. Another big issue we support and emphasize on our team is responsibility and respect. We try to teach respect of not only yourself but others and property. All of these combined build good self esteem, and we have a lot of fun.
The Hornet race season is from May through October and the Go-kart season is from November through April.
